Kuranda & Hot Air Ballooning Day Tour
Experience the beauty of the Atherton Tableland by hot air balloon.
Arrive at the launch site for your 30 minute balloon flight in time to see the massive balloons take shape then float gently above the trees and the wide open spaces with glorious 360° views as you drift above the Tablelands below. Keep an eye out for kangaroos, there are binoculars on board to capture sightings of local birdlife.
After ballooning, recharge your batteries with a sumptuous buffet breakfast before continuing your day of adventure and discovery by including the following, plus free time in Kuranda Village.
Tour highlights:
Kuranda Scenic Railway: Board this historic train, stopping at Barron Falls Station before descending to the coastal plain passing through 15 hand hewn tunnels. At Freshwater Station join your coach for the return journey to Port Douglas.
Skyrail Cableway: Back in the air again but this time skim across the rainforest canopy, alighting at Red Peak and Barron Falls Stations with time to explore the rainforest and visit the Interpretive Centre enroute to Kuranda Village.
This tour operates daily from Port Douglas in conjunction with Hot Air Ballooning and is subject to their terms and conditions.
Please Note: Children 0-3 years of age are not permitted to fly. $25 per person is payable to the operator for landing fees, Civil Aviation duties and insurance charges.
