Kuranda & Hartley's Crocodile Adventures Day Tour
Start your day to Kuranda with an adventurous crocodile experience!
Hartley's Crocodile Adventures is the best place to see crocodiles in Tropical North Queensland. In the World Heritage Area at the foot of the magnificent Macalister Range, it is the home to a number of distinctive vegetation types and an abundance of other wildlife including water birds, turtles, wallabies and cassowaries.
Tour highlights:
Hartley's Crocodile Adventures: Including the unique eco adventure boat cruise where you have the opportunity to experience these prehistoric creatures being pole fed up close! See the endangered flightless cassowary being hand fed and walk the pontoon bridge across the freshwater crocodile lagoon. Genuine Australian crocodile leather goods can be purchased in the gift shop.
Skyrail Cableway: Climb the Macalister Range, offering superb views of the Coral Sea and the World Heritage Rainforest. Journey time 1¼ hours approx.
Kuranda Scenic Railway: Meet your driver/guide in the village for transfer to the famous Kuranda Railway Station. The train stops at Barron Falls as it meanders down the mountain, passing through 15 tunnels enroute to Freshwater Station (approx. 1¼ hours) where you board the coach for the journey home.
To get the most from your Kuranda experience we would recommend travelling one-way on Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and one-way on the Kuranda Scenic Rail.
This tour operates daily from Port Douglas.
